YUHUUU: BEAUTIFUL LIGHT IN OUR LIVING ROOM

Der treue Traumzuhause-Leser hat es bestimmt sofort entdeckt: Steht da nicht eine neue Leuchte im Wohnzimmer? Ihr habt recht!

Hier ist vor ein paar Tagen ein echtes Schmuckstück eingezogen.

Auf den ersten Blick sieht sie ein bisschen aus wie die berühmte AJ von Louis Poulsen, aber nein, sie ist es nicht. Von Louis Poulsen ist sie aber trotzdem!

Ich bin mir sicher, dass viele von euch die dänische Leuchtenmanufaktur bereits kennen und auch schon mal einer ihrer Lampen hinterher geschmachtet haben.

So geht es mir selbst seit Jahren.

Dass mir persönlich gute Beleuchtung sehr wichtig ist, ist ja kein Geheimnis. Darüber habe ich hier schon häufiger geschrieben.

Natürlich landet man bei diesem Thema dann irgendwann eigentlich recht schnell auch bei Louis Poulsen, denn die Dänen stellen einfach fantastische Leuchten her.

Mit am besten gefallen hat mir immer die eben schon genannte AJ Leuchte, aber ich konnte mich nie so richtig auf eine Farbe festlegen und sie war mir eine Zeit lang auch ein bisschen zu erwachsen.

Als hätte jemand meine Gedanken gehört, kam diesen August eine ganz neue Leuchte raus und die steht jetzt hier bei mir im Wohnzimmer: die YUH!

I bet that the loyal blog readers have seen it right away: Isn’t there a new lamp in the living room? You’re right! Some days ago a true gem moved in with us. 

On a first glance the lamp looks like the famous AJ lamp from Louis Poulsen, but it’s not. Nevertheless it’s from Louis Poulsen! I’m pretty sure that most of you know the danish lamp manufactory and also already yearned for some of their lamps.

I’m doing this for years. It’s no secret that I absolutely love good lighting, I already wrote a lot about that topic. And when you love good lighting you will come across Louis Poulsen really quick, they just make fantastic lamps.

The one I always liked the best was the already mentioned AJ lamp but somehow I could never decide on a color and it also seemed to be a very ‚grown-up‘ lamp.

As if someone heard what I was thinking they launched a completely new lamp this august. The one standing in my living room now: the YUH lamp! Saw it and loved it. 

 

Gehört hat mich übrigens wohl niemand geringeres als das bekannte Designduo GamFratesi.

Die Dänin Stine Gam und der Italiener Enrico Fratesi können die unglaublichsten Entwürfe auf ihrem gemeinsamen Designkonto verbuchen. Ich sage nur Beetle Chair für Gubi.

Der neueste Streich des genialen Duos ist nun die YUH Leuchte für Louis Poulsen.

 

Inspiriert hat sie bei ihrem Entwurf tatsächlich die AJ Lampe und deren markante Geometrie.

 

Ich finde die YUH gibt unserem Wohnzimmer eine neue Leichtigkeit. Die Stehleuchte sieht nicht nur sehr clean und frisch aus, sie kann auch was.

Den Leuchtenkopf kann man in der Höhe verstellen, man kann ihn drehen und auch kippen.

Aber es wird noch besser. Die schöne Leuchte ist nämlich dimmbar, durch Handauflegen, kein Witz!

 

And it seems no one less than the famous design duo GamFratesi heard me thinking. The dane Stine Gam and the italian Enrico Fratesi have already designed some pretty spectacular pieces together, for example the wonderful Beetle chair for Gubi.

The newest coup of the duo is the new YUH lamp for Louis Poulsen. As a matter of fact they were inspired by the famous AJ lamp and its striking geometry.

I feel like the YUH is giving our living room some new airiness. The floor lamp is not only looking sleek and fresh, it also has a lot to offer.

It rotates, rises and drops. But it is getting even better. There is also a diffuser integrated in this beautiful lamp and you can dim the light just by touching the top of the lamp, not kidding. 

Ein sehr flexibles Konzept also und genau davon abgeleitet ist auch der Name der Leuchte. YUH steht nämlich für ‚you‘, die Leuchte haben GamFratesi so designt, dass die Bedürfnisse des Nutzers im Fokus stehen.

Für mich ist sie deshalb neben dem Sofa genau richtig, denn hier kann ich sie wunderbar zum Lesen nutzen und ansonsten als gemütliches Licht einfach abdimmen.

Wer keinen Platz mehr für eine Stehleuchte hat, kann sich natürlich auch mal die Tischleuchte ansehen. Wer wirklich gaaaarkeinen Platz mehr hat, die Lampe aber auch so toll findet wie ich, für den hätte ich auch noch die Wandleuchte ;).

 

I love the flexible concept which is also giving the lamp its name. YUH is standing for ‚you‘ and means that GamFratesi created this lamp to focus on the users needs. That’s exactly why this lamp is the perfect choice next to the sofa. You have direct light to read and also indirect light to relax. If you don’t have enough space for another floor lamp you should have a look at their table lamp. And if you reeeaaally don’t have any space anymore but love this lamp as much as I do, they also designed a wall lamp ;).

Wäre auch eine grandiose Leuchte neben dem Bett. Aber ihr kennt das: Wenn man etwas neu hat und liebt, dann will man es auch so oft es geht sehen. Das Wohnzimmer hat also gewonnen.

Unsere andere Wohnzimmerleuchte steht jetzt nebenan und ist für unsere, noch nicht fertige, Récamière zuständig. Dazu bald auch hoffentlich mehr.

This lamp would also be a pretty good bedside lamp. But I’m sure you know the feeling: If you have something new and you love it you want to see it as much as possible. So the living room won. 

Our other living room lamp is now standing in the room next door and we will use it for our récamière, which is not ready yet. Hopefully more on that topic soon.
